2.0T A6 Stage 1

Boost Dynamic Tuning’s Stage 1 ECU calibration methodically increases performance with gains up to 270 HP & 340 TQ, without any sacrifice in drivability or reliability. BDT’s calibration design efficiently and safely maximizes the factory turbo’s potential with OEM-style safety logic.


Crackle Pops (Overrun)

This calibration feature is also known as overrun. When decelerating from higher RPMs (or free-revving in neutral/park), you’ll hear controlled pops from the exhaust/downpipe. Harder to hear on factory exhaust setups — more pronounced with freer-flowing systems.


Boost Control

From factory, boost control can be delivered in a bumpy, uneven curve, resulting in a slow boost response. BDT Stage 1 refines and smooths this boost curve to achieve crisp unmatched power delivery when pushing your car to the limit.


2-Step / Anti-Lag / Launch Control

This feature acts as a secondary rev limiter that works off your speed sensor. While not moving, the engine can rev and hold at a lower set value, allowing the vehicle to build a few pounds of boost for an aggressive launch. Commonly set around ~4500 RPM.
Note: Availability can vary by ECU/TCU/software. If your setup doesn’t support it, we’ll tell you up front.


Power Gains

Expected Stage 1 gains on 93 octane: up to 270 HP and 338 FT-LBS. Results vary with dyno type, altitude, weather, fuel quality, and vehicle condition.

Q: Do I need a downpipe for Stage 1?
A: No — Stage 1 is designed around the stock downpipe/exhaust. (This listing marks downpipe as not compatible.)

Q: Can I add crackles?
A: Yes — optional overrun/crackle can be enabled in Dynamic mode and tailored on request.

Q: Is 2-Step / Launch Control included?
A: It can be offered on some setups. Availability depends on ECU/TCU/software — we’ll confirm before flashing.

Q: How do I install?
A: Remote flashing is supported — you’ll need a Windows laptop/tablet with Wi-Fi & USB.

Reminder: Keep up with plugs, coils, oil changes, and basic service. Tuned cars stay happy when maintenance stays consistent.
