Standard cars get every BDT tune feature except the cruise-stalk switching - but you still get every crackle pop stage (off, low, medium, intense) for free, picked at flash time.

Is the BDT Flasher free?
Yes. The app costs nothing. You pay for the tune you buy from us. Flash it as many times as you want at no extra charge.
Does it work on Mac?
Yes - Mac is now supported. Grab the macOS build above, plug in, and flash. Windows 10/11 works too - same tune, same flash, either platform.
I already bought my BDT tune before this existed - does it still work?
Your tune is already on your account. Download the flasher, sign in, it's right there. If you don't see it, email boostdynamictuning@gmail.com or text (843) 891-6687 and we'll set you up.
Can I brick my ECU using this?
The flasher has checksum verification, auto-abort on connection drop, and recovery mode for almost every failure. It does not monitor battery voltage - that's on you (plug in a battery maintainer or run a fresh battery). Otherwise it's built to be safer than a typical screen-share flash.
What about data logging? TCU tuning?
Data logging is live now on our 2.9T, 3.0T and 4.0T platforms — log your car, send us the file, and we refine your three custom revisions from real data. TCU / DSG tuning is rolling out platform by platform. Free updates as they land.
My car isn't on the list. When will it be?
B9.5 mild hybrid and MK8 GTI are in active dev. Email us with your car and we'll let you know when it drops.
Do I still need to schedule a screen-share flash?
If your car is on the supported list above - no. The BDT Flasher handles everything end to end. screen-share is still around for platforms we haven't ported yet.
What if something goes wrong mid-flash?
Call or text +1 (843) 891-6687. We answer during business hours and the flasher has a recovery mode for almost every failure. Worst case we walk you through it on the phone.
