When decelerating from higher RPMs or free-revving in Neutral/Park, you’ll hear sharp, exhilarating pops and crackles from your exhaust. It’s a controlled and safe enhancement designed to deliver an aggressive sound profile — especially when paired with an aftermarket exhaust.

Note: Effect may be more subtle on stock exhaust systems. We also implemented a safety to reduce crackles if exhaust temperatures get too high.

  • What fuel is required?
    E85 is REQUIRED for Stage 2+. Do not run pump gas on this file.
  • Do I need hardware?
    Yes — a high-flow exhaust and E85 are required. Intake, intercooler, and drivetrain inserts are recommended for best results.
  • Is a downpipe required?
    No — downpipes are not compatible on this hybrid platform.
  • Can I flash at home?
    Yes. The tune is OBDII flashable with remote support included.
  • Is a TCU tune available?
    Not currently for this model.

This Stage 2+ ECU Tune is developed for the 2021–2025 Audi Q5 45 TFSI with the hybrid EA888 Gen 3 2.0T engine on the B9.5 platform. Boost Dynamic Tuning’s Stage 2+ calibration is an E85-only file engineered in-house to deliver maximum street performance on this hybrid setup. The tune provides smoother and more linear boost control, sharper throttle response, reduced turbo lag, raised torque and load limits, removed speed limiter, increased low- and high-pressure fuel strategies for ethanol, VVT recalibration, intake air temperature safety logic, recalibrated boost gauge, and crackle overrun enabled in Dynamic mode only. E85 fuel and a high-flow exhaust are required; intake, intercooler, and drivetrain inserts are recommended. No physical ECU modifications are required, downpipes are not compatible, and the tune is OBDII flashable at home with remote support included. Dyno-validated for gains up to 350 WHP and 390 WTQ on E85.
