How Remote Tuning Works — Flash From Home in Minutes

No shop. No tow truck. No downtime. Your entire ECU calibration is completed from your driveway — BDT logs into your laptop remotely and handles every button press.

What You'll Need

  • Windows laptop — macOS / Apple not supported
  • 50+ Mbps internet connection (stable, no hotspot)
  • 8GB RAM minimum
  • BDT remote tuning cable (included with purchase)
  • Battery charger — 10–25 amp, connected during the entire flash
  • TeamViewer Quick Support — free, BDT walks you through it

Step-by-Step

  1. 1

Schedule: Scan the QR code included with your cable to book your session.

  2. 2

Download TeamViewer Quick Support: BDT walks you through it — no IT experience needed.

  3. 3

Connect battery charger: Positive first, negative last. 10–25 amps, connected the entire session.

  4. 4

Key on, engine off: Accessory mode — all dash lights on, engine does not start.

  5. 5

Plug in the cable: OBDII port (lower dash, driver's side) to USB on your laptop.

  6. 6

Share your TeamViewer ID: BDT logs in remotely and handles everything. You watch live.

  7. 7

Key off on command: BDT tells you when. Fault codes are normal and clear on their own.

  8. 8

Disconnect & drive: Remove charger (negative first), start the car, and go.

The whole flash takes about 15–20 minutes. BDT is live on call the entire time.

WATCH: HOW REMOTE TUNING WORKS

After the flash: Fault codes may appear — this is 100% normal. They clear after a short drive cycle.

The cable showed in the mail and he fit me in extremely quickly. After the tune it is a whole new car with a ton of power, and the sound is amazing!
