BDT Stage 1 ECU Tune

2000–2006 Audi TT 225HP 1.8T (8N) • EA113 • K04 • Quattro / FWD

Your Audi TT didn’t come from the factory to be quiet or timid — it came to hunt. BDT Stage 1 sharpens throttle response, hits harder in the mid-range, and carries clean power to redline while keeping daily drivability and OEM safety logic front and center.

Crackle Pop & Overrun (Optional)

On lift-off or free-rev, you’ll get that clean overrun burble and snap that makes the TT feel aggressive again. Factory exhaust = subtle. Aftermarket exhaust = wicked.

Boost Control Optimization

Factory boost is conservative and lazy. We reshape the curve so power hits earlier, builds smoother, and stays consistent through the pull — no weird dips or soft spots.

BDT Stage 2 ECU Tune

2000–2006 Audi TT 225HP 1.8T (8N) • EA113 • K04

Stage 2 takes everything Stage 1 delivers and pushes it further with high-flow exhaust optimization. The K04 breathes harder, spools faster, and holds boost deeper into the pull — with recalibrated fueling and torque management for the added airflow.

Stage 2 Requirement: A high-flow exhaust is required. Upgraded DV and spark plugs still required.

Stage 2 Highlights

  • Significant HP & Torque Gains over Stage 1
  • Speed Limiter Removed
  • Raised Torque Limiters — harder mid-range hit
  • Fueling Recalibrated for high-flow exhaust airflow
  • Crackle & Pop Overrun (Optional)
  • Refined Boost Control — smooth, linear delivery
  • Turbo Lag Reduced — quicker K04 spool
  • LPFP Targets Increased

Crackle Pops — Stage 2

Stage 2 with a high-flow exhaust makes overrun even more aggressive. That clean burble and snap on lift-off — louder, sharper, and more pronounced with a freer-flowing exhaust.

Boost Control

With reduced exhaust backpressure, the K04 spools faster and holds boost better through the pull. We reshape the entire boost curve for consistent, smooth power delivery from spool to redline.

Power Gains

Expected Stage 2 gains on 93 octane: up to 305 WHP / 310 WTQ

2000–2006 Audi TT 225HP 1.8T (8N) • K04 Hybrid / Big Turbo

Stage 3 is built for TT owners running K04 hybrid turbos or big-turbo setups. This isn’t a generic flash — it’s a custom calibration built around your exact turbo, injectors, and hardware list. Expect serious power, aggressive spool, and a car that pulls hard from idle to redline.

How Remote Tuning Works

Flash your TT from home — no shop visit needed.

1

Schedule Your Flash — After purchase, scan the QR code or contact BDT to book your appointment.

2

Download TeamViewer — Install on your Windows laptop. BDT remotes in to run the flash software.

3

Hook Up Battery Charger — Positive first, then negative. Stable voltage is critical.

4

Turn Car to Accessory Mode — Key in ignition. Do not start the engine.

5

Plug In OBDII Cable — Connect to the OBDII port (driver side, under dash).

6

BDT Takes Remote Control — We handle everything. You watch the entire process live.

7

Key Off on Command — When BDT says “turn key off,” do it immediately.

8

Disconnect & Drive — Unplug OBDII, remove charger (negative first, then positive), start the car, enjoy.

Post-Flash Note: You may see a few fault codes after flashing — this is normal. They clear after a short drive cycle.

HOW REMOTE TUNING WORKS

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What hardware is required for Stage 1?
A: An upgraded diverter valve and spark plugs (BKR7EIX .028 gap) are required. Stage 1 is designed for the stock K04 turbo — no additional hardware needed beyond that.

Q: What does Stage 2 require?
A: Stage 2 requires a high-flow exhaust in addition to the Stage 1 requirements (upgraded DV + spark plugs). An intercooler is recommended for consistent performance.

Q: What hardware do I need for Stage 3?
A: Stage 3 requires a K04 hybrid or big turbo, high-flow exhaust, intercooler, manual boost controller (MBC), EV14 550cc injectors, upgraded DV, and spark plugs. This is a full build tune.

Q: Can I flash at home?
A: Yes. All BDT tunes are flashed via OBDII from home with a Windows laptop. We ship a loaner cable — plug in, read, flash, drive. No ECU shipping, no shop visit.

Q: Is my TT Quattro or FWD supported?
A: Yes — both Quattro AWD and FWD models are fully supported across all stages.

Q: What fuel should I run?
A: All stages are calibrated for 93 octane. If you don’t have access to 93, contact BDT — we can adjust for 91 octane.

Q: What if I have an upgraded turbo but want Stage 1?
A: If your turbo has been upgraded from the stock K04 (any hybrid or big-turbo), you must purchase Stage 3. Stage 1 and Stage 2 power targets are calibrated around the stock K04’s compressor limits.

Q: Do I need a Windows computer?
A: Yes. The flashing software requires Windows. Mac is not supported. 50+ Mbps internet and 8GB+ RAM required.
