Download TeamViewer — Install on your Windows laptop. BDT remotes in to run the flash software.

Hook Up Battery Charger — Positive first, then negative. Stable voltage is critical.

Turn Car to Accessory Mode — Key in ignition or press start without brake. Do not start the engine.

Plug In OBDII Cable — Connect to the OBDII port (driver side, under dash).

BDT Takes Remote Control — We handle everything. You watch the entire process live.

Key Off on Command — When BDT says “turn key off,” do it immediately.

Disconnect & Drive — Unplug OBDII, remove charger (negative first, then positive), start the car, enjoy.

Post-Flash Note: You may see a few fault codes after flashing — this is normal. They clear after a short drive cycle.

Q: What mods are required for Stage 2?
A: A high-flow exhaust is required. TCU tune, intercooler, intake, and drivetrain inserts are strongly recommended.

 

Q: What mods are required for Stage 3?
A: Turbo upgrade, high-flow exhaust, TCU tune, intercooler, and air intake are all required. Turbo inlet pipe, HPFP upgrade, and catback exhaust are recommended.

 

Q: What is COD Delete?
A: Cylinder-On-Demand (COD) shuts down cylinders to save fuel during light cruising. BDT can disable this feature so all 8 cylinders fire at all times — giving you consistent V8 power and sound.

 

Q: Is Stage 1 safe on the stock turbos?
A: Yes — when maintenance is followed. Stage 1 is calibrated to safely maximize the factory twin-turbo setup with proper boost targets and safety logic.

 

Q: What fuel do I need?
A: Only use high-quality fuel equal to or greater than your selected tune level. Available for 91 / 93 / 100+ AKI (USA) and 95 / 98 / 104 RON (International). Never run a lower octane than specified.

 

Q: Do I need a TCU tune?
A: Not required for Stage 1, but highly recommended for Stage 2 and required for Stage 3. TCU raises torque limits, improves shift logic, and unlocks neutral/park rev limiter.

 

Q: Do you support the 3.0T Supercharged A8?
A: Yes. Contact BDT directly for 3.0T-specific power figures and calibration details.

 

Q: Do I need a Windows computer?
A: Yes. The flashing software requires Windows. Mac is not supported. 50+ Mbps internet and 8GB+ RAM required.

 

Q: Can I flash back to stock?
A: Yes — your A8 can be returned to the factory calibration at any time via OBDII.

    I put rs7 turbos and downpipes on. I got it tuned and it was a quick and easy process. The tune is great I had it flashed first with intense crackles then I got a reflash/retune to light burbles. Both tunes are excellent. No problems at all and Ive put over 10,000 miles on my car. The tune is smooth and it adds a lot of power. I also got the tcu tune which just made everything better. It drives like a factory car with almost 800hp. Its the best tune I've seen around. My friends have gone with other companies but they have problems and I don't even when my car has more miles. Customer service is on point.

    This tune is the best bang for your buck! Turned my A8L into a legitimate BEAST! But when you're driving normally it's not like most tunes where you get the weird performance in normal conditions. Hands down love this tune!
