Dyno-Verified Power Gains

Expected Stage 1 gains on 93 octane (stock turbo, stock downpipe): up to 325 WHP / 332 WTQ (approx. 373 HP / 390 TQ at the crank). Results vary with dyno type, altitude, heat-soak, fuel quality, and hardware condition.

ECU Tune Modification Requirements

Stage 1 hardware requirements (quick view): No downpipe required. TCU tune is highly recommended for DSG cars. Intake, intercooler, drivetrain inserts, and fresh plugs are recommended for the best consistency.

Boost Control & Drivability

Factory boost can feel bumpy on long pulls. BDT smooths the boost curve for crisp, consistent power delivery — stronger mid-range and cleaner top-end without surging.

Q: What hardware do I need for Stage 1 on my Golf R?
A: Stage 1 runs on the stock IS38 and stock downpipe. Intake/intercooler/plugs are recommended for best consistency.

Q: Is a DSG/TCU tune required for Stage 1?
A: Not required, but highly recommended for DSG cars to handle additional torque and improve shifting.

Q: Can I flash at home?
A: Yes. Remote OBDII flashing with support is included. A Windows laptop is required.

Q: What fuel does Stage 1 support?
A: We tailor maps to your fuel and climate. Most customers run 91/93 octane; race maps may require 100 octane.

Q: Can you customize map layout or pops?
A: Yep. We can adjust map order, pop levels, and behavior on request while keeping all safeties active.
