Q: How does plug-and-play work?
A: We ship you a pre-tuned ECU with immobilizer off. Swap your stock ECU for the BDT one — no laptop, no cables. Plug in and drive.

 

Q: What mods do I need for Stage 1?
A: None required. Intake, intercooler, plugs, and TCU tune are recommended. High-flow exhaust is NOT compatible with Stage 1.

 

Q: What do I need for Stage 2?
A: High-flow exhaust and spark plugs (BKR8EIX .028) are required. TCU tune highly recommended.

 

Q: What's the difference between Stage 2 and Stage 2+?
A: Stage 2+ adds an HPFP upgrade which unlocks additional fueling headroom for up to 300 HP / 340 TQ. Same exhaust and plug requirements as Stage 2.

 

Q: What do I need for Stage 3?
A: Full big-turbo build: turbo, injectors, exhaust, intake, intercooler, and TCU tune all required.

 

Q: I have an upgraded turbo. Which stage do I need?
A: You need Stage 3. Stage 1 and 2 are not compatible with upgraded turbo hardware. This includes K04.

 

Q: What is the core return program?
A: After installing your BDT ECU, send back your stock ECU for a $50 rebate. We supply the shipping label.

    2006 Audi A3 2.0T,with 6SPD Manual transmission

    Ordered late Thursday evening,I'm in Michigan so I was surprised when the order showed up early Monday mid morning,ECU swap is simple on these,with care taken when removing wiper arms,as the lower windshield is in the vicinity,use a small puller if unsure,they can be rented from any oriellys,etc.Engine fired right up loped at idle as do all of these at initial start,smoothing out right away with a noticably crisper throttle response,after warm up I did a couple full throttle runs,and all I can say is Wow,had to let off numerous times in 1st)2nd gear,if you've ever raced a 2stroke MX bike that's what it felt like(if your 6spd manual take the bleed orifice out the slave cylinder,on front driver's side of transmission,it'll shift much quicker,and get rid of the lag in Engagement) 100% satisfied,they hooked it up! Thanks Guys(Southwest Michigan)
