  • Remote Flashing: Flash your TT via OBDII at home. No ECU shipping. No shop scheduling.
  • Dyno-Tested & Street-Proven: Backed by data and validated under real load.

Stage 1 Highlights

  • Noticeable HP & Torque Gains
  • Speed Limiter Removed
  • Park Rev Limiter Raised (4000 → 6000 RPM)
  • Raised Torque Limiters — stronger mid-range pull
  • Crackle & Pop Overrun (Optional) — Low / Medium / Intense-Flames
  • Refined Boost Control — smooth, linear delivery
  • Turbo Lag Reduced — instant boost response
  • HPFP & LPFP Pressure Targets Increased
  • Fueling Optimized by throttle position
  • OBDII Port Flashing

Crackle Pop & Overrun (Optional)

Enjoy that signature overrun burble on decel or when free-revving. Add just the right amount of spice to your exhaust tone — especially noticeable with aftermarket catbacks.

  • LOW — Bubbly with slight pops
  • MEDIUM — Snappy but not gunshots
  • INTENSE / FLAMES — Full send

Boost Control Optimization

Factory boost curves can be inconsistent and laggy. BDT’s calibration smooths out the powerband for crisp, controlled acceleration and linear power delivery throughout every gear.

BDT Stage 2 ECU Tune

2008–2014 Audi TT 2.0T TFSI (8J / Mk2) • EA888

Stage 2 takes everything Stage 1 delivers and pushes it further with high-flow exhaust optimization. The factory turbo breathes harder, spools faster, and holds boost deeper into the pull — with recalibrated fueling and torque management for the added airflow.

Stage 2 High-Flow Exhaust Crackle Pops OEM Safety Logic
Audi TT 2.0T 8J Stage 2 BDT
TT 2.0T STAGE 2
Harder midrange. Factory turbo maxed out.

Stage 2 Requirement: A high-flow exhaust is required. TCU/DSG tune highly recommended for S-tronic cars.

Stage 2 Highlights

  • Significant HP & Torque Gains over Stage 1
  • Speed Limiter Removed
  • Neutral/Park Rev Limiter Raised
  • Raised Torque Limiters — harder mid-range hit
  • Fueling Recalibrated for high-flow exhaust airflow
  • Crackle & Pop Overrun (Optional) — Low / Medium / Intense-Flames
  • Refined Boost Control — smooth, linear delivery
  • Turbo Lag Reduced
  • HPFP & LPFP Pressure Increased
  • OBDII Port Flashing

Crackle Pops — Stage 2

Stage 2 with a high-flow exhaust makes overrun even more aggressive. That clean burble and snap on lift-off — louder, sharper, and more pronounced with a freer-flowing exhaust.

  • LOW — Bubbly with slight pops
  • MEDIUM — Snappy but not gunshots
  • INTENSE / FLAMES — Full send

Boost Control

With reduced exhaust backpressure, the factory turbo spools faster and holds boost better through the pull. We reshape the entire boost curve for consistent, smooth power delivery from spool to redline.

How Remote Tuning Works

Flash your TT from home — no shop visit needed.

1

Schedule Your Flash — After purchase, scan the QR code or contact BDT to book your appointment.

2

Download TeamViewer — Install on your Windows laptop. BDT remotes in to run the flash software.

3

Hook Up Battery Charger — Positive first, then negative. Stable voltage is critical.

4

Turn Car to Accessory Mode — Key in ignition or press start without brake. Do not start the engine.

5

Plug In OBDII Cable — Connect to the OBDII port (driver side, under dash).

6

BDT Takes Remote Control — We handle everything. You watch the entire process live.

7

Key Off on Command — When BDT says “turn key off,” do it immediately.

8

Disconnect & Drive — Unplug OBDII, remove charger (negative first, then positive), start the car, enjoy.

Post-Flash Note: You may see a few fault codes after flashing — this is normal. They clear after a short drive cycle.

HOW REMOTE TUNING WORKS

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What hardware is required for Stage 1?
A: None. Stage 1 supports stock hardware. A TCU/DSG tune is highly recommended for S-tronic cars. Intercooler and intake are recommended for best temps.

Q: What does Stage 2 require?
A: A high-flow exhaust is required. TCU/DSG tune, intercooler, intake, and drivetrain inserts are strongly recommended.

Q: Can I flash at home?
A: Yes. All BDT tunes are flashed via OBDII from home with a Windows laptop. We ship a loaner cable — plug in, read, flash, drive.

Q: Is the TT Quattro and FWD supported?
A: Yes — both Quattro AWD and FWD models are fully supported across all stages.

Q: Are manual and DSG supported?
A: Yes — both manual and DSG/S-tronic transmissions are supported. DSG cars benefit significantly from a TCU tune paired with the ECU calibration.

Q: What fuel should I run?
A: All stages are calibrated for 91/93 octane. If you don’t have access to 93, contact BDT.

Q: What if I have an upgraded turbo?
A: If your turbo has been upgraded, you are not eligible for Stage 1 or Stage 2 power targets. Contact BDT for a Stage 3 quote.

Q: Do I need a Windows computer?
A: Yes. The flashing software requires Windows. Mac is not supported. 50+ Mbps internet and 8GB+ RAM required.
