Schedule Your Flash — After purchase, scan the QR code or contact BDT to book your appointment.

Download TeamViewer — Install on your Windows laptop. BDT remotes in to run the flash software.

Hook Up Battery Charger — Positive first, then negative. Stable voltage is critical on V8 platforms.

Turn Car to Accessory Mode — Press start without brake. Do not start the engine.

Plug In OBDII Cable — Connect to the OBDII port (driver side, under dash).

BDT Takes Remote Control — We handle everything. You watch the entire process live.

Key Off on Command — When BDT says “turn key off,” do it immediately.

Disconnect & Drive — Unplug OBDII, remove charger (negative first, then positive), start the car, enjoy.

Post-Flash Note: You may see a few fault codes after flashing — this is normal. They clear after a short drive cycle.

Q: Does this work on both the RS6 Avant and RS7?
A: Yes. The C8 RS6 and RS7 share the same 4.0T TFSI V8 mild hybrid platform, same ZF 8HP75 transmission, and same SIMOS 18.10 ECU. One tune file supports both chassis.

 

Q: Will Stage 1 work on my stock RS6/RS7?
A: Yes. Stage 1 is designed around fully stock hardware — stock turbos, stock intake, stock exhaust. Just make sure maintenance is up to date and you’re running 93 octane.

 

Q: Is a high-flow exhaust compatible with Stage 1?
A: No. Stage 1 is specifically calibrated for stock exhaust. Stage 2 for the C8 platform is in development — follow BDT on social for release updates.

 

Q: Does it disable the mild hybrid 48V system?
A: No. BDT’s Stage 1 calibration works with the mild hybrid system — not against it. No fault codes, no disabled features, no warnings. Start/stop still functions normally (we default it to OFF, but the system is still active and selectable).

 

Q: Do I need a TCU tune?
A: Highly recommended. The ZF 8HP75 is one of the best transmissions in the world, but the factory TCU caps torque handling and shift aggression. A TCU tune unlocks harder shifts, higher rev limiters, and full torque passing.

 

Q: Can I daily drive this tune?
A: Absolutely. BDT Stage 1 is calibrated with safety logic intact — knock control, IAT protection, and OEM-style fueling strategy. Drive to work all week, hit the track on Saturday.

 

Q: What fuel does this tune support?
A: 93 octane required. Lower octane will pull timing and hurt power. Do not run 87 or 89 — knock events on a tuned 4.0T V8 are expensive.

 

Q: How does this differ from the C7 RS7 tune?
A: Completely different calibration. The C8 RS6/RS7 has a new ECU (Siemens SIMOS 18.10), new ZF 8HP75 transmission, and the 48V mild hybrid system. BDT’s C8 file is built specifically for this platform — not ported from C7.

 

Q: Can I flash at home?
A: Yes. Remote OBDII flashing with full guided support is included. Windows laptop required, 50+ Mbps internet, 8GB+ RAM.

The C8 4.0T V8 is a bulletproof engine when maintained — and an expensive problem when it’s not. These intervals come from years of tuning RS6, RS7, S6, S7, S8, and SQ7/SQ8 platforms. If these aren’t kept up, failures happen — and it won’t be the tune. If you can’t afford the parts, please don’t tune your car.
