Is a TCU tune really necessary???

In the sophisticated world of automotive engineering, the seamless interaction between the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) plays a pivotal role in managing torque delivery to the drivetrain with exceptional accuracy. Both the ECU and TCU are outfitted with sophisticated safety measures that regulate torque outputs based on the vehicle’s factory configurations. The ECU diligently communicates the engine’s torque to the TCU, which evaluates whether this output is appropriate. If the TCU identifies an excessive torque level, it swiftly instructs the ECU to adjust the output to adhere to its safety guidelines. In short terms this means your stage 2 file WILL NOT HIT STAGE 2 TQ NUMBERS AS IT'S BEING ROBBED BY THE TRANSMISSION TORQUE LIMITER.
