BDT does. This Stage 1+ calibration was built from scratch in-house and validated through real-world logging, street grind, and dyno work. No recycled files. No “close enough.” Just a tune that makes the car feel how Audi should’ve delivered it.

Expect harder pulls, cleaner boost, sharper throttle, and a torque curve that hits like a switch. Stock feels polite — Stage 1+ feels alive.

CRACKLE POPS / OVERRUN (DYNAMIC MODE ONLY)

We keep it classy in Comfort/Auto, and let Dynamic mode go feral. Dynamic crackles add controlled pops on decel/free-rev while keeping exhaust temps and safety logic in check.

Note: Effect is subtle on stock exhaust. Safety logic reduces crackle if exhaust temps climb.

BOOST CONTROL OPTIMIZATION

The hybrid ECU can feel inconsistent under load from the factory. We rebuild the strategy so you get:

  • Linear, predictable boost delivery
  • Faster throttle response
  • Consistent power across the full band

A: Yes — no hardware is required. Intake and intercooler upgrades are optional but recommended.

Q: Is a downpipe supported?
A: No. This hybrid platform is not compatible with downpipe tuning at this time.

Q: Do I need to visit a shop?
A: Nope. Flash from home through OBDII with remote support.

Q: What drive modes have crackles?
A: Dynamic mode only. Comfort/Auto stay refined and quiet.

Q: Is a TCU tune required?
A: No TCU tune is available right now; Stage 1+ is calibrated for the stock TCU safely.

    The tune woke the car up I'm so happy with it it's so fast but when you want to drive chill it drives smooth feels like it's OEM it just drives so freaking fast now it's nice I'm happy I'm so happy the power is insane I feel like I could smoke a Mustang now it's hella good

    Grabbed the Stage 1+ from BDT for my 2023 Audi A4 b9.5 and holy ****! The car feels like a completely different car, woke it right up and is a pleasure to drive. Im giddy walking to the parking lot after work because I get to daily drive over 300 whp. The launch throws you in your seat, and with an intake, it defiantly doesn't sound like a little 4 banger anymore. Cheers BDT team!
